Voting worked mechanically and turnout was consistently a small fraction of supply, which meant a coordinated minority could decide almost anything — and control tracked wealth, reproducing exactly the concentration the structure was meant to prevent.

The deeper problem was execution. Deciding is not doing. Nearly every functioning DAO depended on a small core team that the governance structure did not describe, could not direct and would not have survived losing.

The workforce condition was absent, and it was absent in a way the design could not admit: the organisation was described as autonomous while being operated by people whose role had no place in the model.

An accountable workforce with scoped authority and an audit trail — whether human or agent. Autonomy is a claim about execution, not about voting, and the agent layer is the first thing that makes it literal.

Flashy Group runs as an agent-operated organization on its own mesh, with humans holding the decision rights that matter and the audit trail as a native property rather than a later reconstruction. The group is the first tenant of its own answer to this entry, which is the only position from which the diagnosis is worth anything.
